How to Remove Dual Camera Watermark All Xiaomi Mi Smartphones 2019

When you take a photo with many Xiaomi Mi smartphones, a watermark appears in the bottom-left corner of the image, for example “Shot on Mi 8 Lite, AI Dual Camera”. Here is how to turn this watermark off, or how to turn it back on if you want it.

In the screenshot below, the photo on the left has the watermark, and the one on the right does not.

How to remove the dual camera watermark

  1. Open your default Camera app.
  2. Tap the options menu at the top of the camera screen and open Settings.
  3. Find Device watermark (on some phones it is called Dual camera watermark). Move the switch to the left to turn the watermark off, or to the right to turn it on.
  4. Go back and take a new photo. The watermark is gone.

In the screenshots below, the watermark is turned on (left) and turned off (right).

Good to know

  • Only new photos change. Turning the setting off does not remove the watermark from photos you already took. For those, open the photo in the Gallery, tap Edit and crop away the bottom part with the watermark.
  • Date stamp: right above Device watermark you will find Add time stamp on photos, if you also want to turn the date and time stamp on or off.
  • Newer phones: on newer MIUI and HyperOS versions, the option may be inside a Watermark section of the camera settings.

I hope this simple tip helps you. You can try it on any Xiaomi smartphone that has this watermark feature. Want to clean up your phone even more? See 12 options to disable all ads on Xiaomi MIUI.
