How to Check If Your PC Can Run Windows 11
- Download and install the PC Health Check app with the button above.
- Open the app. If an update is available, install it first.
- In the Introducing Windows 11 section at the top, click Check now.
- The app tells you whether your PC meets the Windows 11 requirements. If it doesn’t, it shows exactly which requirement failed.
Note: On a PC that already runs Windows 11, you may not see the eligibility check, because it’s meant mainly for Windows 10 PCs.

Most PCs that fail the check fail because of the CPU, TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot. TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are often turned off in the BIOS and can be turned on: see How to Prepare Your PC to Support Windows 11 (TPM 2.0, UEFI & Secure Boot).
My PC Is Not Supported: What Now?
If your PC doesn’t meet the requirements, you can still install Windows 11 on most unsupported PCs. See my step-by-step guide: How to Install Windows 11 on an Unsupported PC.
