This page explains how the guides on Tips 2 Fix are written, checked and kept up to date.
Who writes the guides
Daniel, the creator of Tips 2 Fix, records the videos and writes the guides. Each article is the written version of a video, so you can always watch the steps being done on screen. We use editing tools, including AI-assisted proofreading, for spelling, grammar and layout.
Accuracy and sources
- Facts such as release dates, support periods and system requirements come from official sources: Microsoft, Apple, Google or the developer of the software.
- Many articles end with a “Sources & references” list that links to those sources.
- When a guide only works on certain hardware or Windows versions, the article says so.
Updates and corrections
- We review guides when Windows, macOS, iOS or Android change in a way that affects the steps.
- When a reader reports a mistake or a broken link, we check it and fix the article.
- The “Updated” date under the title shows when an article was last reviewed.
Found a mistake? Tell us in the comments under the article or through the contact page.
Downloads and safety
- We link to the official download whenever there is one.
- Our own tools are published on GitHub.
- Steps that change system files, the registry or partitions include a reminder to back up first.
Advertising and sponsored content
Tips 2 Fix is free and is paid for by Google ads and by readers who support us on Ko-fi. When a company gives us a product or a license for a review or a giveaway, we say so in the article.
