Unlock Any RAR File in Seconds: Remove RAR Passwords with Passper

Forgot the password of your own RAR archive? In this video, I show you how to recover it with iMyFone Passper for RAR. The program recovers forgotten passwords for RAR archives created with RAR, WinRAR and other compression software. How long it takes depends on how complex the password is.

Download Passper for RAR

Note: only use this on archives that belong to you, or that you have permission to open.

Here are 2 license keys:

I shared these keys in 2019, so they may no longer work.

How to recover a RAR password with Passper for RAR

  1. Download and install Passper for RAR with the button above. In the video, I installed the trial version first, so I could test the program before buying it.
  2. Open Passper for RAR.
  3. Click Select File and choose your password-protected RAR file.
  4. Choose an attack type. Passper for RAR offers four: Dictionary Attack, Mask Attack, Combination Attack and Brute-force Attack. A brute-force attack tries all possible combinations, so it takes the longest. A combination attack only tries the characters you choose. In the video, I used the combination attack.
  5. Enter what you remember about the password. I knew my test password had 1 to 6 characters and only numbers, so I set the length from 1 to 6 and selected numbers only. The less the program has to try, the faster it finds the password.
  6. Click Next, then Recover, and wait.
  7. When the password is found, copy it, open your RAR file in WinRAR and paste the password.

Tip: I used a very simple password, so the recovery in the video was quick. A long password with letters, numbers and symbols can take much longer. If one attack type does not find it, try a different one.
