Still on Windows 10 because your PC can’t officially run Windows 11? In this tutorial I show how to upgrade an unsupported PC to Windows 11 23H2, using a small CMD script I call the Bypasser. It also works if you are on Windows 11 22H2 and want to move to 23H2. The video at the top of this page shows every step.
Update (October 2026): Windows 11 23H2 Home and Pro stopped getting updates on November 11, 2025. For a current version, see How to Install Windows 11 26H2 on Unsupported PC or How to Install Windows 11 25H2 on Unsupported PCs. The steps below still work for 23H2.
In this article
Step 1: Check Your PC With PC Health Check
First, see why your PC is marked as unsupported. Download Microsoft’s PC Health Check app, run it and click Check now. Most unsupported PCs fail because of the CPU, TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot.
Download PC Health CheckStep 2: Download the Bypasser Script
The Bypasser is a small CMD script that lets Windows 11 Setup run on an unsupported PC. Download it from one of these links:
Direct Download (Bypasser) OneDrive Download (Bypasser)The script is based on the well-known “Skip TPM Check on Dynamic Update” script. You can see the original on the author’s GitHub page:
View the Original Script on GitHubStep 3: Get the Windows 11 23H2 ISO File
You also need the Windows 11 23H2 ISO, in the same language as your current Windows, so Setup can keep your files and apps. I show how to get the official ISO in my other video (go to minute 4:04):
If you can’t get it that way, you can also download it here:
Download Windows 11 23H2 ISOStep 4: Run the Bypasser and Start Setup
- Right-click the Windows 11 23H2 ISO and choose Mount.
- Extract the Bypasser ZIP and right-click the script. Choose Run as administrator. It shows “Skip TPM Check on Dynamic Update INSTALLED”.
- Open the mounted ISO and double-click setup.exe.
- Follow the setup screens. The hardware check is skipped, so the “This PC doesn’t currently meet Windows 11 system requirements” message no longer stops you.
- When Setup asks, keep Keep personal files and apps (this works when the ISO is the same language as your Windows). Then install.
Note: To upgrade from 22H2 to 23H2, run the Bypasser the same way, then start Setup from the 23H2 ISO.
Microsoft’s own page confirms there are ways to install Windows 11 on PCs that don’t meet the requirements:
Read the Official Microsoft PageWarning: Microsoft says installing Windows 11 on an unsupported PC is not recommended and that such PCs may not be entitled to updates. Back up your files before you start.

Will this method still work if SecureBoot is not enabled?
I get 3 issues: TPU not enabled, Secure Boot not enabled and CPU not compatible.
My CPU is an i7 Quad Core processor (Ivy Bridge)
Yes, Kristopher, it works without Secure Boot. TPM, Secure Boot and the CPU list are exactly the three checks the bypass skips, and your Ivy Bridge i7 has SSE4.2 and POPCNT, the two instructions Windows 11 24H2 and newer really need. For an upgrade today I’d use the tool from my 26H2 guide, it handles all three checks for you: https://staging.tips2fix.com/how-to-install-windows-11-26h2-on-unsupported-pc/
I dont know why but my old ASUS X550EA could run 24H2 with th setupprep.exe /product server command and the laptop has 8 gigs of ram 500gb storage amd a4-5000 apu 1.50ghz
That’s awesome, BAYB!
Your ASUS X550EA with the AMD A4-5000 APU handled it surprisingly well that’s a great example of how even older hardware can still run Windows 11 24H2 smoothly with the right tweaks.
Did you have to use the /product server command to bypass setup checks, or did it go through normally after running setupprep.exe?
Thanks for sharing your specs this really helps others with similar laptops!
