How to Reset the Redmi Buds 3 Pro

  2. Touch and hold the multifunction button on both earbuds for at least 10 seconds. The light flashes to show the reset is running.
  3. On your phone, open Bluetooth settings and remove (forget) the saved Redmi Buds 3 Pro connection.
  4. When the light stops flashing and stays on, the reset is done. Release the buttons, then turn Bluetooth off and on again and pair the earbuds as new.

Common Problems and Fixes

One earbud (left or right) stopped working

This usually means the earbud is low on battery or did not connect correctly. Try these steps:

  1. Charge the earbud that is not working, or both, by placing them in the charging case.
  2. Factory reset the earbuds (see the steps above).
  3. Make sure you are using the earbuds within a normal Bluetooth range.

If it still does not work, the earbud is probably faulty, so ask for a refund or a replacement.

One earbud has low volume

This usually means the earbud is dirty or the volume is set low. Try these steps:

  1. Clean the earbud. Use a cotton swab, and carefully clear the mesh and the small microphone holes with a soft brush or a pin. In the video I use a toothbrush and a little glass or alcohol cleaner. Clean gently so the holes stay open.
  2. Factory reset the earbuds.

Tip: A bad fit can also make one side sound quieter. In the Xiaomi Earbuds app, open the earbud settings and run the Ear tip fit test. If the test fails, change the ear tip size or reseat the earbud until you get a good seal on both sides.

The microphone is not working

This can happen when the microphone is muted or the earbuds sit badly in your ears. First, check the microphone volume on your device. If that does not help, the microphone may be faulty, so try a replacement or ask for a refund.

The microphones sit in small holes on the earbuds. If these holes are blocked by dust, clean them gently with a soft brush, the same way as for low volume.

The earbuds will not connect to a Windows PC or laptop

If the earbuds do not connect, the Bluetooth on the computer may have a pairing problem. Try these steps:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on nearby devices so they do not grab the earbuds. Put the earbuds in pairing mode, then on the PC go to Settings > Bluetooth & other devices > Add a new device and choose Bluetooth.
  2. Update the Bluetooth driver, or uninstall and reinstall it. You can do this in Device Manager (right-click Start > Device Manager). Then reset the earbuds and try again.
  3. Reset the earbuds and pair them again.

Note: Also keep the charging contacts clean. If the pins inside the case are dirty, the earbuds may not charge evenly, and one side can end up with less battery than the other.
