Windows 11 25H2 Enablement Package & ISO Direct Download Links

The final version of Windows 11 25H2 (2025 Update) is officially here. If your PC already runs version 24H2, you do not need to reinstall Windows: you can apply the Enablement Package (KB5054156) to switch over. If you are on 23H2 or Windows 10, you need the full ISO instead.

In this guide you find the direct Microsoft download links for the enablement package (eKB) and the ISO files, plus clear steps to install them and fix common issues.

25H2 vs 24H2: What Is the Difference?

  • Both versions share the same core system.
  • If you are already on 24H2, moving to 25H2 is just a version switch with the eKB file.
  • If you are on 23H2 or Windows 10, you need the full ISO image to upgrade or clean install.
  • There are no major new features. It is mostly a technical update for versioning and cumulative updates.

Option A: Upgrade With the Enablement Package (24H2 to 25H2)

  1. Download the KB5054156 enablement package (.msu file) for your device: Download for x64 (Intel/AMD) Download for ARM64
  2. Double-click the .msu file.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Restart when prompted. Your system boots into Windows 11 25H2.

Tips2Fix: Run Windows Update first to install pending updates, and create a System Restore point before you apply the update.

Option B: Install From the ISO (24H2 or Windows 10 to 25H2)

  1. Download the ISO file for your system:
  2. Mount the ISO in File Explorer and run setup.exe.
  3. Or create a bootable USB with Rufus for a clean installation.

Tips2Fix: Always back up your files, free at least 20 GB of storage space, and disconnect devices you do not need (USB drives, printers, external drives) to avoid driver issues.

Final Thoughts

If you are on 24H2, the enablement package is the fastest way to move to 25H2. For everyone else, the ISO is the way to go. Always prepare with updates, backups and enough free space before you install.
